haven't test the whole Memtest procedure, only test 5.

First, my goal is not to run 1.5-3-3-5 24/7 100%. This only test benchmarks what this ram is capable. If test 5 is stable, then the ram is quite stable enough for doing oridinary task.

And Memtest86++ is not always the right program to test ram, expecialy with S754 memcontroller /w TWO dimms.

Good guess !!! test #5 !!! where the nightmare starts.

Whenere my RAM setting is not perfect, always, the memtest86 will failed at 96-98% of test #5. Bang, just like hit right onto the wall !!! it really hurts.

But sometimes, even I can pass the test #5, no guarantee that the system can run smoothly. I am having trouble with a 1G DC kit of Kingston HyperX, it passed test #5 several times, but I sill have no success log into windows. I will bring it back to store for exchange for sure.

So, if you have time, may be run a full pass at least once, to see what will happen.

I agree with you, every mem reacts different on memtest86+.

For me test5 stable at 20-30passes is stable enough to do ordinary things. To make sure everything its stable, I run prime blend test.

Using memtest86+ only to test memory is not enough. Strange errors will occure. :lol:
