在10天前，蘋果發佈最後一輪OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5測試版後，今天蘋果正式發佈其OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5正式版，版本內建號為12F37。根據蘋果官方的更新開發LOG，顯示OS X 10.8.5修正和提升了目前已發現的各種BUG和相關性能。如提高AFP檔案傳輸性能，增強Xsan和線上傳輸大檔時的可靠性提高等。
