At the time of a research in the datasheets of INTEL, summons us fallen by chance on strange information in the document "P4 Specification Update" which has been just updated. Indeed, this document makes mention, as one can see it below, of Pentium 4 based on the core Prescott C0, but equipped with only 512 KB of L2 mask. Given rhythm for 2.26 GHz on a bus FSB533 and deprived of Hyper-Threading, it is thus mainly intended for the emergent markets and/or the application low cost. Adopting traditional Socket 478 of first Prescott, one can logically wonder what justifies with the eyes of INTEL name Pentium 4. Celeron would have been more suitable. Technically, it would be however interesting to see how the mask was truncated...
