Job Description
Firmware development engineer for overseeing and supporting the development of diagnostic and product test related firmware used in testing xxx storage board & system products during manufacturing. The person in this position will oversee and coordinate FW development done by xxx’s ODM partners, and provide maintenance and support of the resulting firmware. The person will participate in defining functions and interfaces, maintain source control, track problems, and work with xxx’s ODM partners and Mfg Test Dev engineers to verify the firmware and resolve problems. It is expected that the candidate will have expertise in the application of mechanical principles which will include the application of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools, the ability to create technical documentation, performing tolerance analysis' and creation engineering drawings. The position of Operation Program Manager (OPM) reports directly to the OPM Manager. This is a key leadership position requiring strong program management skills
OPMs are assigned to one or more specific programs, providing operation program management support for their program(s) from development through end of life. OPMs are often required to meet with customers and need to have strong customer facing skills
Specific responsibilities include:
- Operations Owner/Leader of their product(s) – Prototype through End of Life
